Blatter gets up from table as press conference ends\u003cbr/\u003eFIFA President Sepp Blatter said on Saturday that he was happy with the joint hosting of the football World Cup finals and hinted that it could be repeated at the 2010 event.\u003cbr/\u003eSpeaking at a press conference on Saturday, Blatter also said it was \"important\" to see the host countries reach the second round of the competition, and that their success will create a \"wonderful\" atmosphere.\u003cbr/\u003eSplitting the tournament between Japan and South Korea had been seen as a risk, creating extra logistical difficulties for what is already one of the largest sporting events in the world and being held in Asia for the first time.\u003cbr/\u003eBut Blatter hinted that it might be considered again, for the 2010 event, which will take place in Africa.  The decision on the location of the 2010 World Cup will be made in two years' time. \u003cbr/\u003eBlatter said that, by then, FIFA would have analysed all the information from the current tournament and would have a better idea about the benefits and disadvantages of co-hosting.\u003cbr/\u003eThe European Championships in 2000 were jointly hosted by Belgium and the Netherlands, and a number of European nations have made joint bids to host the 2008 event in between two and four countries.\u003cbr/\u003eBut not everything has run smoothly at the 2002 World Cup with many fans complaining about difficulty in purchasing tickets, while seats remained empty.
