Various of President Lula greeting the G-20 Commercial Representatives \u003cbr/\u003eDeveloping countries on every continent should band together to create their own free trade pact, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva\u003cbr/\u003esaid on Friday at a gathering of the so-called G-20 countries.   \u003cbr/\u003eThe G-20 group, led by Brazil, India and South Africa, aims to revive stalled World Trade Organization talks but is based on gradual elimination of agricultural subsidies and tariffs by industrially developed countries, especially the United States and the nations of the European Union.\u003cbr/\u003eIn Geneva, World Trade Organisation (WTO) delegates admitted, earlier this week, that the organization will miss a December 15 deadline for reviving the so-called Doha  Round of trade liberalization talks initiated in 2001. No new deadline has been set.\u003cbr/\u003eSilva emphasized that a free trade zone built around the G-20 countries was merely a suggestion and not a firm Brazilian government proposal. \u003cbr/\u003eThe G20 includes countries from Latin America, Asia and Africa.\u003cbr/\u003eIssues such as farm subsidies and disputes over intellectual property, foreign investment and other questions led to a breakdown in WTO talks in Cancun, Mexico in September. \u003cbr/\u003eThe G20 nations, led by Brazil in Cancun, contributed to the impasse by pushing for early elimination of subsidies, quotas and tariffs in farm commodity trade.\u003cbr/\u003eThis week's Brasilia meeting of the G20 countries was an effort to help kick-start the Doha Round, but within the context of proposals favoured by developing countries, Brazilian Foreign Ministry official Clodoaldo Hugueney said.\u003cbr/\u003eHugueney said US Trade Representative Robert Zoellick was invited to the Brasilia
