senior minister Lee Kuan Yew.\u003cbr/\u003eThe U.S. Secretary of State arrived in Singapore Tuesday after attending an Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference in Kuala Lumpur over the weekend.\u003cbr/\u003eThere, Madeleine Albright had stood by the American decision to impose trade sanctions in Myanmar, criticised for its human rights violations.\u003cbr/\u003eBut in Singapore, the Secretary's visit focused on achieving free trade in the region.\u003cbr/\u003eFirst off, she visited the biggest U.S. company in Singapore.\u003cbr/\u003eSeagate is a leading American data technology company and employs almost 20,000 people in its Singapore plant.\u003cbr/\u003eAs Mrs Albright toured the factory floor, she said she was impressed at how American design know-how is
