Hayakawa from the Los Angeles Police Department relocated active police officers to surveillance major movie theatres in the area. There were police officers on bikes, on foot, and other undercover officers in civilian clothes keeping a close on any suspicious activity.\u003cbr/\u003eCaptain Hayakawa assured moviegoers they should feel safe. \"Well obviously because the events in Aurora, Colorado the tragic events, a lot of cities, Los Angeles being one of them is concerned with some of its larger theaters where people might flock to. We don't really anticipate anything but for the public safety, the confidence of the public and to insure their well-being we are deploying more resources here. He admits, nothing would have stopped him from going. \"Definitely I am not going to let no, some incident like that hamper my enjoyment and what I want to do, so.\"\u003cbr/\u003eBrian Nelson, 22, of Santa Monica felt really sad when he hurt the tragic news. \"I am really bummed about that especially because it was something where people have been looking forward to this for about one year and a half, two years and to have something so tragic like that happen is really sad. I know people really care, cops really care about our safety here so I am not worried about that.\"\u003cbr/\u003eDina Billimoria, 43, of Studio City still felt a little nervous about attending the screening. \"A little bit when I heard about what happened yesterday I was a little apprehensive but it's one individual who is a little disturbed and I was hoping that here at the Arc Light they have security and it's going to be okay.
