Various Berlusconi's election campaign TV clip\u003cbr/\u003eJust a few days before Italy's national elections, unofficial polls show that Silvio Berlusconi's House of Liberty coalition is leading by nearly 10 points over the Olive Tree coalition. \u003cbr/\u003eMedia magnate Silvio Berlusconi is convinced his coalition will win Italy's national elections and he will become the next Prime Minister of Italy.   \u003cbr/\u003eHe has announced repeatedly his conviction in recent public appearances as he has raced from campaign glad-handing to television talk shows. \u003cbr/\u003eIn the past few days he has released his political program promising to cut taxes, reduce crime and increase pensions.  \u003cbr/\u003eHe has also promised to create 1.5 (m) million news jobs.  \u003cbr/\u003eHe has not specified how he will solve  his conflict of interests problem. \u003cbr/\u003eBerlusconi is the richest man in Italy with a fortune estimated at 12.8 (b) billion dollars with a massive business empire including television networks, magazines, an advertising company, a publishing house and a soccer team among his many holdings. \u003cbr/\u003eBut his business empire has raised many questions about conflict of interests.  \u003cbr/\u003eBerlusconi has promised to resolve the problem during his first 100 days in office. Political commentators see some risk in his not resolving the question before Sunday's election. \u003cbr/\u003eBerlusconi first formed his Forza Italia (Let's go Italy) party in the early 1990s and swept to a surprise victory in the 1994 elections.   \u003cbr/\u003eBut his party was small and weak and Berlusconi was unable to hold together his loose-knit coalition.  \u003cbr/\u003eHis government fell after less than eight months in office. \u003cbr/\u003eBerlusconi's assets include three national television networks. \u003cbr/\u003eThe left has accused him of taking advantages of his television networks for political purposes and are worried that after the elections Berlusconi's coalitions will control all six national networks-- the three state run channels and his own. \u003cbr/\u003eThrough the use of upbeat campaign songs, a glossy magazine about himself, cheerful campaign posters and frequent television appearances, Berlusconi has convinced many Italian voters that he can improve their lives. \u003cbr/\u003eFrom inside and outside Italy has come tough criticism. \u003cbr/\u003eIn a hard-hitting cover story titled \"Why Silvio Berlusconi is Unfit to Lead Italy\", the British news magazine The Economist detailed nine court cases and investigations into Berlusconi's business dealings.  \u003cbr/\u003eThe magazine accused him of paying off judges and having close aides with links to the mafia.\u003cbr/\u003eBerlusconi has said he will sue The Economist and has vehemently denied he has ever corrupted any officials or had any ties to the mafia. \u003cbr/\u003eItalians appear to be less concerned about the court cases and the mafia accusations then about his conflict of interests.  \u003cbr/\u003eTo many, having the richest man in Italy running his business and the country at the same time is risky. \u003cbr/\u003eThe conflict of interests issue has not appeared to bother candidate Berlusconi in the final days of the campaign. \u003cbr/\u003eHe was presented an endlessly smiling face to the Italian public. \u003cbr/\u003eHe was especially pleased on a recent campaign stop with one of his biggest fans on his arm, his mother
