And there are all kinds of ways of having their say. They can get rid of an editor and appoint another editor who knows what the person wants. You do not have to give the orders directly. That is not how it necessarily works. Some famous editors in the past in Britain, of all kinds of things, have been directly interventionist.  They say 'I want this, I want that in the newspaper.'  I do not know how Mr Murdoch acts in this regard. He certainly, in the case of Harpers, he definitely told his executives 'I do not want this Patten book. Now, as far as HarperCollins is concerned, it is a publisher that he owns. Now, clearly, the business over the Patten book was very badly handled by Harper Collins. I think everyone concedes that. But if Mr Murdoch wants not to publish a book which a publishing company that he wholly owns has agreed to publish, that is a matter for him.
