believes the end is near for his country's ruling regime.\u003cbr/\u003eDavood Beyk Zadeh said recent student protests in Iran are an indication that the current regime in Tehran has lost its legitimacy inside Iran. \u003cbr/\u003eIt's an opinion that Iranians in Iran are able to hear through Channel One TV which broadcasts in Iran's Farsi language via satellite and the internet to Iran and the rest of the world.\u003cbr/\u003eZadeh served in key posts of Iran's military after the overthrow of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi in 1979 and was a founding member of the Revolutionary Guards but fled Iran two years ago.\u003cbr/\u003eZadeh said contacts inside Iran have told him members of the ruling regime are allegedly plotting to terrorize or kill leaders popular with the Iranian people, on or before July .\u003cbr/\u003eOn Tuesday Iranian student leaders vowed to defy a government ban on street rallies to mark the fourth anniversary of a bloody raid on a Tehran University dormitory. \u003cbr/\u003eThe raid by police and hard liners on July 9, 1999 sparked six days of nationwide protests, the worst since the 1979 revolution.\u003cbr/\u003eThe anniversary is seen as a key date for the future of the elected government of President Mohammad Khatami.\u003cbr/\u003eBut Zadeh said there is no need for intervention from the US or other outside factions in order to force
