Exterior of May Day stadium\u003cbr/\u003eThe mass gymnastic and artistic performance Arirang games are underway in the North Korean capital, Pyongyang.\u003cbr/\u003eMore than 100,000 performers including children took part in the performance Wednesday, according to organisers.\u003cbr/\u003eAPTN North Korea filmed the spectacular sight of thousands of participants in colourful, carefully choreographed performances, which impressed some foreign members of the audience with its sheer size and skill. \u003cbr/\u003e\"I have never seen anything like that. The choreography the colours, the sheer amount of number of people, working hand in hand.  It's absolutely amazing,\" said Daniel Binder, a German visitor to the DPRK.\u003cbr/\u003eNorth korea's official central news agency reported in July that this run of Arirang will contain \"new scenes.\"\u003cbr/\u003eArirang was first performed in 2002, then again in 2005, and most recently in spring 2007. \u003cbr/\u003ePast staging of Arirang coincided with celebrations of major anniversaries on the North Korean calendar.\u003cbr/\u003eThis Arirang is expected to run until mid-October, and the performances do not coincide with any notable anniversary
