Even after the president is elected they haven't got their rights back although the president knew that the Military Council committed this crime he did not charge them. We have documents and videos and we have filed many court cases, one of them in front of the the constitutional court to retry the whole case because it is not fair that the military rulers are responsible for this crime and they're the ones who trialled this case in court.\"\u003cbr/\u003e13. Wide of families of those killed during mass\u003cbr/\u003eCoptic Christians gathered for a mass at the Abbasseya Cathedral in Cairo on Wednesday to morn those killed during protests which took place nearly a year ago. \u003cbr/\u003eOn 9 October 2011, clashes between Copts and the military left 26 dead and around 300 injured, almost all of them Christians. \u003cbr/\u003eThe rioting lasted late into the night, bringing out a deployment of more than 1,000 security forces and armoured vehicles to defend the state television building along the Nile, where the trouble began. \u003cbr/\u003eThe clashes started after the Copts marched to the state television building in protest against the burning of a church in Asswan a week earlier and demonstrating for their rights.\u003cbr/\u003eChristians blamed Egypt's ruling military council for being too lenient on those behind a spate of anti-Christian attacks since the removal of former president Hosni Mubarak.\u003cbr/\u003eThey battled each other with stones and firebombs, some tearing up pavements for ammunition.\u003cbr/\u003eThe clashes spread to nearby Tahrir Square and the area around it, drawing in thousands of people. \u003cbr/\u003eThe protesters pelted the soldiers with rocks and bottles. \u003cbr/\u003eSecurity forces eventually fired tear gas to disperse the protesters. \u003cbr/\u003eThe clashes left streets littered with shattered glass, stones, ashes and soot from burned vehicles. \u003cbr/\u003eMajor General Adel Emara, a member of the ruling council and deputy defence minister, tried to clear the military of any blame in the killings. \u003cbr/\u003eHe denied troops opened fire at protesters, claiming their weapons did not even have live ammunition. \u003cbr/\u003eWitnesses and Christian protesters have denied the demonstrators started the fighting and still feel as if justice needs to be done.\u003cbr/\u003e\"The rights of the martyrs have not been fulfilled and the people who committed this massacre are still out their enjoying their lives. We haven't got even one per cent of the martyr's rights,\" said Magda fayek, the sister of one of the protesters killed in the clashes. \u003cbr/\u003eVideos show that the violence appeared to begin when military police with shields charged protesters who were peacefully holding speeches outside the state TV building. \u003cbr/\u003eAnother shows a soldier firing at protesters at close range from the back of a speeding armoured vehicle weaving through the crowd.\u003cbr/\u003eAccording to forensic reports for the dead protesters, a third of the victims were killed by being run over by the armoured vehicles, while two-thirds were shot with live ammunition. \u003cbr/\u003eAt least 21 of the 26 killed were Christians.\u003cbr/\u003eEgypt's Coptic Christian minority makes up about 10 per cent of the country's population of more than 80 (m) million people.\u003cbr/\u003eCopts say they are treated like second-class citizens and repeated attacks on them go unpunished. \u003cbr/\u003eBut many Egyptian Muslims perceive Christians with suspicion, claiming they are empowered by Western support and exploit any means to press their
