the case said there was sufficient evidence presented by the prosecution in the state of Guerrero to prosecute the men.\u003cbr/\u003eA court employee presented the paperwork confirming the judge's decision to the suspected rapists who were detained inside a small jail cell on the other side of the court room. \u003cbr/\u003eThe judge didn't release the name of the defendants saying this had to do with respecting \"the principle of presumption of innocence.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe suspects have five days to appeal the judge's decision.\u003cbr/\u003eAfter the men were arrested, authorities said they had confessed to the crimes and given a complete account of the Feb. 4 attacks.\u003cbr/\u003eThe incident took place in a beach house on the outskirts of Acapulco where 12 Spanish tourists and a Mexican woman were staying.\u003cbr/\u003eMexican human rights groups often question confessions announced by Mexican authorities, arguing they are sometimes extracted by force and have little value.\u003cbr/\u003eAcapulco has been plagued by drug-related shootouts, beheadings and killings in recent years, and officials have been quick in the past to rule out any involvement of drug cartels in crimes against tourists. \u003cbr/\u003eOne of Mexico's chief arguments to support its tourism industry, is that cartels don't target
