Close-up of mourner crying at gravesite\u003cbr/\u003eThousands of Elvis Presley fans gathered for a candlelit graveside procession on Wednesday to mark the 30th anniversary of the musician's death. \u003cbr/\u003eThe procession filed past Presley's grave in a small garden beside his former home, Graceland. \u003cbr/\u003eThe vigil is the most popular and solemn anniversary event in a week long string of concerts, dances, movie screenings and other festivities put on by Graceland.\u003cbr/\u003eThe legendary entertainer, acclaimed as The King, died August 16, 1977, at age 42 from heart disease worsened by drug abuse.\u003cbr/\u003eSome fans began lining up for the candlelight vigil early in the morning.\u003cbr/\u003eIt took hours for the fans to make their way from the mansion gates to Presley's gravesite. The wandering Graceland pathways were lit only by the flames from the candles.\u003cbr/\u003e\"It's just amazing,\" said Carolyn Youngmeyer, an Elvis fan from Houston, Texas.\u003cbr/\u003e\"All the people out here and the devotion they have to him and the candles lit, it's just fabulous. It's fabulous. Everybody needs to do it once,\" she added.\u003cbr/\u003eOnce fans reached the gravesite, they were only allowed to pause for a moment. Two large torches burned near the spot where the legend is buried.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Near the gravesite, it's really another world,\" said Elvis fan Judy Youngs of Queensland, Australia. \"I just love the feeling up there.\"\u003cbr/\u003eEarlier soaring temperatures led to the death of one fan, a 67-year-old woman.\u003cbr/\u003eThe woman was found dead Wednesday afternoon inside a trailer at a nearby campground. \u003cbr/\u003eShe had chronic health problems, but the Shelby County Medical Examiner's Office said the heat contributed to her death. \u003cbr/\u003eThe Memphis Fire Department said it also treated at least six people overcome by heat, including an 8-year-old boy who was hospitalised. \u003cbr/\u003eFans were expected to continue paying their respects into the early morning on Thursday, the 30th anniversary of Elvis's death.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau estimated up to 75,000 people would be drawn to town for the anniversary week.\u003cbr/\u003eThe overall Elvis business brings in more than US 40 (m) million (euro 29.6 (m) million) a year. \u003cbr/\u003eThat made him the second-highest grossing dead celebrity in 2006,
