\u003cbr/\u003eThe launch took place in the Rocinha neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro and featured performances by the local samba school.\u003cbr/\u003eHundreds of people gathered in the school's rehearsal arena, where volunteers distributed free condoms and information pamphlets. \u003cbr/\u003eAccording to the ministry, the number of registered cases of HIV/AIDS among homosexual males has increased by 10 percent in the 15-24 demographic during the past decade. \u003cbr/\u003e\"Even though we have seen a 20 percent drop in registered AIDS/HIV cases in the 15-24 demographic during the past twelve years, we registered a 10 percent increase amongst men who have sex with other men in that same age group,\" Brazilian Health Minister Alexandre Padilha told reporters during the event. \u003cbr/\u003ePoster-size adverts will be placed on billboards in Rio de Janeiro from Thursday until the end of carnival on 22 February, Ash Wednesday. \u003cbr/\u003eHealth Ministry officials said a second round of adverts will be launched after carnival, to encourage people to get HIV/AIDS tests. \u003cbr/\u003eIn addition to featuring male couples on the ads, ministry officials said this was
