Various of presser\u003cbr/\u003eA group of 60 Europeans giving out humanitarian aid to a conflict-ridden area of Colombia gave their final press conference in Bogota before departing the back to their countries of origin.\u003cbr/\u003eWhile distributing 30 thousand U.S. dollars worth of medical and food supplies to the southern Bolivar area, the so-called 'caravan' had been accused of having ties with Basque separatist group ETA.\u003cbr/\u003eAt a press conference in the capital Bogota, caravan members denied the charge made by a paper in Spain several weeks ago and said that upon their return  they would sue the paper for defamation.\u003cbr/\u003eThe charge caused consternation in Colombia, were 3 suspected IRA members were captured last week, and caused the heads of the military and government to express their concerns.\u003cbr/\u003eThe caravan members also took the opportunity to slam the Colombian government for not helping them distribute their aid.\u003cbr/\u003eAt the beginning of their trip, caravan members tried to distribute supplies to the area of San Pablo but were stopped by locals who suspected the group of sympathizing with Colombia's second largest guerrilla group the National Liberation Army or E-L-N.\u003cbr/\u003eThe area around San Pablo has long been a subject f contention as it had been considered as a potential site for peace talks between the E-L-N and Colombia's government.\u003cbr/\u003eThose plans were put on hold after massive protests by locals ensued along with paramilitary attacks in the region.\u003cbr/\u003eThe caravan
