These elements are then melted down and sold to other factories.  \u003cbr/\u003ePlant managers say this technology would have been difficult enough to install on a country with an advanced technological base.\u003cbr/\u003eDoing the job here in the Ukraine has left the American managers little time to experience the new culture in which they find themselves.\u003cbr/\u003eManager John Lohmann, from Minnesota has a Russian vocabulary limited mostly to one word: 'work'.\u003cbr/\u003eAudio comes up as he says: \"no, not really\" with full audio on the following words (Russian): \"Robota, robota, robota\", meaning \"work, work, work\".\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Manager John Lohmann\u003cbr/\u003eDespite regular start-up problems that have slowed the operation down, the project promises to be profitable. \u003cbr/\u003eThe world markets for nickel, bronze and steel are at least as stable as the world appetite for arms.\u003cbr/\u003eNot that the Ukraine has declared disarmament a vital state policy.\u003cbr/\u003eThe government anticipates that the military-industrial complex here will remain an important source of revenue.\u003cbr/\u003eBut this project is making a good start at demonstrating that peace can be profitable.\u003cbr/\u003e1.
