Wide of investors watching investment board changing\u003cbr/\u003eChinese bank officials tried to allay US concern on Tuesday over the impact of debt holdings, saying the huge investment of foreign exchange reserves in US Treasury Bonds was market driven and not politically driven.\u003cbr/\u003eMany analysts in China and abroad say US Treasury Bonds represent one of the few safe investment resources with a large enough scope to handle Chinese foreign exchange reserves.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Chinese domestic market, while good at producing goods and commodities, is not yet big enough or mature enough to safely absorb the huge amounts of foreign exchange that China has at its disposal.  \u003cbr/\u003eTherefore the US treasury bonds are the only \"holding tank\" that is big enough.\u003cbr/\u003e\"This is purely a market driven investment issue.
