They work by darkening one or other eye at the same time as the TV set is projecting two different sets of images, thus creating an illusion of the three dimensional image. \u003cbr/\u003eAt last year's fair they were just prototypes, but now all the major producers are exhibiting market ready 3D TV sets priced only slightly higher than standard 2D sets. \u003cbr/\u003eSeveral producers have announced 3D TV models capable of operating without external accessories, but Rainer Gruenwald from the Austrian Media Office says the technology is yet to be properly developed.\u003cbr/\u003e\"The problem with 3D is still the glasses, they are something that are not really comfortable to wear all evening.
