And he had a little teddy bear on his shirt  - that's how I recognised him.  After I testified to that in the McVeigh trial, I just got off  the stand, I walked into the courthouse, one of the rooms, when Jannie Coverdale just  walked up to me, put her arms round me and wept. They had pancaked upon each other.  They were cracked, and there  were circles about two foot, three foot in diameter just everywhere you looked. And it  was the blood that was coming down between the floors and there was bodies crushed  between these floors.  These impressions are what's in here (points to head), the ones  that we have to live with, the ones that we have to cope with, deal with.  But folks, me  just telling you that story and me saying that is nothing compared to what the families  have to live with everyday.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Officer Jerry Flowers, Oklahoma City Police\u003cbr/\u003eThe bombing of the Oklahoma federal building took place in April 1995.\u003cbr/\u003eIt claimed 168 lives, and shocked the American nation.\u003cbr/\u003eAlthough Nichols - seen here with a U-S Marshall - was not actually in Oklahoma City  when the bombing took place, he has been convicted of conspiracy and manslaughter  for his role.\u003cbr/\u003eFlowers said on Monday the magnitude of the bombing was something that was  unheard of in the U-S.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English)\u003cbr/\u003e\"But today they're seeing this from a whole total direction from what they've seen in the  past few weeks that the trial's been going on.  They're seeing now the devastation that  was caused by these people who manufactured this bomb.  To do this type of  devastation in this country is unheard of.
