Exterior shot of venue of the talks\u003cbr/\u003eDelegates from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) said at the end of talks in Peruvian capital of Lima on Friday that Japan would be able to participate in the next round of talks regarding a trade pact aimed at reducing duties on a wide range of goods and services and ease regulatory and other non-tariff barriers to trade.\u003cbr/\u003eThe 11 countries that participated in the 17th round of talks included the US, Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam.\u003cbr/\u003eThe 18th round of talks are planned in Kuala Lumpur between July 15-25.\u003cbr/\u003e\"We are aware that Japan would like to take part in the July rounds in a substantive, meaningful manner and we believe that can be arranged,\" said lead Peruvian negotiator, Edgar Vasquez.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Japan's participation in the July round will be appropriately arranged.\"\u003cbr/\u003eJapan has been waiting for the US to complete its 90-day period to notify the US Congress to admit Japan as the 12th member of the trade liberalisation talks on July 23.\u003cbr/\u003eJapan is the world's third-largest economy, and the US aside, its GDP exceeds the combined total of the other participating nations.\u003cbr/\u003e\"We have the shared political will to conclude (talks) during this year and we are sure that the Japanese government shares that view.
