Pashtun province of Nangarhar, walked out to protest the lack of Pashtun representation here, according to a spokesman for Northern Alliance delegate Mohammad Natiqi.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Northern Alliance, which has gained control of many areas of Afghanistan with the help of US airstrikes, comprises groups and warlords who have at times been bitter enemies. \u003cbr/\u003eIts delegation includes two other Pashtuns.\u003cbr/\u003eThough the Pashtuns comprise the largest ethnic group in Afghanistan, with estimates ranging from 40 to 60 percent, they don't have their own delegation the delegation representing his Northern Alliance at talks in Bonn had been pressured to agree to name members of interim bodies and to accept an international security force.\u003cbr/\u003eSpeaking at a news conference at Kabul's presidential palace, Rabbani rejected key points of a political blueprint for Afghanistan being put together at the UN-sponsored talks.\u003cbr/\u003eRabbani was in office from 1992 to 1996 when the Taliban seized power and is still recognized by the United Nations as Afghanistan's head of state.\u003cbr/\u003eHe also raised objections to plan for an international peacekeeping force, saying he would prefer that security be provided by Afghan factions, with each group having as many as 1,000 security personnel in such a locally recruited force.\u003cbr/\u003eHe said if the world community insisted on deploying foreign troops, then the number should be limited to 200.\u003cbr/\u003eIn an interview with APTN, Northern Alliance Foreign
