Close of reflections in Christmas bauble\u003cbr/\u003eGlitter and tinsel are out this Christmas with traditional handcrafts and ethical decorations en vogue at the Spirit of Christmas Fair in London's Olympia.\u003cbr/\u003eAnd despite the recession, the show's manager says Christmas is the one time of year shoppers aren't tight with the purse strings.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Spirit of Christmas Fair is thronged with eagar shoppers getting into the festive spirit.   \u003cbr/\u003eBut the gaudy baubles and tinsel many associate with Christmas trimmings have taken a back seat to handmade gifts, designed to be handed down through generations.\u003cbr/\u003eStuart Hunter, manager of the Spirit of Christmas Fair, says: \"Well, the Spirit of Christmas Fair is in its tenth year this year, it's the home of Christmas shopping. You know, you have beautiful pieces, old and antique then modern and contemporary, and what I've actually found really strong at the show today is accessories and homeware.\"   \u003cbr/\u003eDesigner Samantha Mess sells her hand embroidered tree decorations at the show. She believes quality and longevity should replace cheap and disposable decorations. \u003cbr/\u003eShe says: \"Well, the trend this year, I feel, is a hand-embroidered heirloom of the future, something that you can pass on from generation to generation, and just a very cute keepsake.\"   \u003cbr/\u003eHow about this for the ultimate recycled Christmas tree? These ethical trees from designer Brodwin were created from driftwood washed up on Cardigan Bay in Wales.   \u003cbr/\u003eDenise Lewis, manager of Brodwin, says: \"I think people are really interested in where their presents come from.
