that reflect the lack of progress in his attempts to probe Tehran's nuclear secrecy.\u003cbr/\u003eYukiya Amano, who heads the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), also said that Iran may have worked on a nuclear arms program past 2004, indirectly contradicting US intelligence estimates in the public domain.\u003cbr/\u003eUS officials said last month (February) that a newly drawn up National Intelligence Estimate concludes Iran's leaders are split over whether to use their nuclear program to develop atomic weapons. \u003cbr/\u003eBut they did not specify whether the new document revised a conclusion arrived at in 2007 that Tehran had abandoned attempts to develop nuclear weapons in 2003. \u003cbr/\u003eThat report was disputed by Israel and several European intelligence services.\u003cbr/\u003eAmano's comments on Monday follow even stronger warnings in a confidential report last month, when he said Iran may be working on a secret nuclear weapons program even now.\u003cbr/\u003eIn that report, obtained by The Associated Press, Amano expressed concern about the possible existence of \"current undisclosed nuclear related activities ... related to the development of a nuclear payload for a missile.\"\u003cbr/\u003eAmano also confirmed that Syria has agreed to an April 1 visit by the IAEA inspectors to a site being probed for clues about that country's secretive atomic activities.      \u003cbr/\u003eDamascus already agreed last month to let IAEA inspectors see the site - an acid purification plant in the city of Homs. \u003cbr/\u003ePurified uranium ore is a byproduct of the plant, and the IAEA is trying to establish whether traces of uranium elsewhere come from the plant, as Syria asserts.\u003cbr/\u003eSyria is suspected of hiding a clandestine nuclear program, while Iran is defying UN Security Council demands that it stop uranium enrichment - dual use technology that can make both reactor fuel and the core
