(April 9) \u003cbr/\u003eThe leader of the Supreme Court''s liberal bloc is stepping down, leaving Barack Obama with the second court vacancy of his presidency. \u003cbr/\u003eJustice John Paul Stevens says he''ll leave the bench when the court breaks this summer to give Obama time to get his replacement confirmed before the fall session. \u003cbr/\u003eObama accepted Stevens retirement Friday morning, and praised the 89-year-old justice as an impartial guardian of the law.\u003cbr/\u003eBarack Obama\u003cbr/\u003e\"We cannot replace Justice Stevens'' experience or wisdom.
