Two weeks ago we took in six, the Attorney General accepted to prosecute a group of six pirates, captured by a British vessel and preparation for their prosecution is ongoing. So the simple answer to your question is yes, but all these acceptances are going to be done on a case by case basis. suspected Somali pirates arrested by international warships patrolling the Gulf of Aden, but warned it will not be a \"blanket acceptance\" of prisoners.\u003cbr/\u003eMoses Wetangula said authorities will evaluate individual cases and could decline to prosecute pirates if the cases do not meet certain criteria.\u003cbr/\u003eWetangula said Kenya's Attorney General had taken on the cases of 6 alleged pirates captured by a British vessel in recent weeks.\u003cbr/\u003eWetangula spoke Wednesday after meeting with Catherine Ashton, the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, who is visiting the region to press for more help in prosecuting pirates.\u003cbr/\u003eKenya is one of only two African nations to sign an agreement with the EU to take on piracy cases. \u003cbr/\u003eKenya earlier this year stopped accepting suspects, saying they put undue strain on the country's congested justice system.\u003cbr/\u003eSomalia is an impoverished nation caught up in a violent insurgency and has had no effective government or justice system since 1991. \u003cbr/\u003ePiracy has become a multimillion-dollar business, and attacks have continued despite the presence of about 35 international warships patrolling nearby waters.\u003cbr/\u003eMany countries refuse to prosecute pirates, and suspects picked up at sea often are released after their weapons are
