That was the last time I took part in the competition.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Leon Stukelj, Olympic medalist\u003cbr/\u003eBorn in Novo Mesto on 12 November 1898, Stukelj discovered his talent for gymnastics  as he watched athletes from the Sokol (Hawk) sports associations, one of the few  organisations for youth at the turn of the century. \u003cbr/\u003eBut he wasn't a full-time gymnast - he graduated from the Law University of Ljubljana in  1924, just weeks before traveling to his first Olympics.\u003cbr/\u003eStukelj may now be nearly 100 years old - but age hasn't slowed him down.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE (Slovenian): \u003cbr/\u003e\"I am 97 years old, and this November I'll be 98. Every day I do different exercises. I am  spending a lot of time outdoor in our garden and in the country.\" \u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Leon Stukelj, Olympic medalist\u003cbr/\u003eWhen he was 38, he quit gymnastics and began working as a judge. \u003cbr/\u003eAfter he retired in 1963, he continued working as an aide to an attorney and wrote a  book about his gymnastic career: \"My Seven World Championships\". \u003cbr/\u003eBut his full life after the Olympics has in no way lessened his passion for gymnastics.\u003cbr/\u003eHe still reads books about the sport and never misses a televised competition.\u003cbr/\u003eIn addition, he strives to keep himself fit.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE (Slovenian): \u003cbr/\u003e\"I have two rings on my door, so I lift myself from time to time.
