Pan, truck from \"Sanford and Son\" television show\u003cbr/\u003eThe first guitar Elvis Presley ever owned is being sold off at an auction of music and movie memorabilia in New York.\u003cbr/\u003eThe guitar was given to the future star in 1946, for his 11th birthday - bought originally for $7.75 (US dollars).\u003cbr/\u003eElvis' mother had to convince her son to buy the guitar instead of a .22 rifle that he had been eyeing as his birthday approached. With no money for guitar lessons, the instrument sat idle for months before the young Elvis decided to pay it some attention. He made his first amateur recording with that guitar at the Memphis Recording Studio (Sun Records) --  a recording of \"My Happiness\", as a gift for his mother. The rest is rock and roll history.\u003cbr/\u003eThe legendary instrument is going under the hammer at the Guernsey's Auction House alongside hundreds of other pieces of music and movie memorabilia.\u003cbr/\u003eLots include the oldest known guitar in the world which dates back to 1590.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Five-Course Guitar (five pairs of strings)  is an extremely rare instrument attributed to Belchior Dias of Lisbon, Portugal.  It is one of only two guitars known to survive from the 16th century and it is considered to be the oldest known full-size guitar in existence. \u003cbr/\u003eOther highlights include guitars once owned and played by John Entwistle of The Who, B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix, Chet Atkins, and Jerry Garcia.\u003cbr/\u003eA fake fur bed once owned by Presley is up for sale as is his 1969 Mercedes Benz 600 six-door Pullman Limousine. Several other guitars owned by the \"King\" are also on the block along with a white piano once owned by Presley.\u003cbr/\u003eA black Baldwin piano custom built for Liberace is also being auctioned off.   Elton John and Billy Joel have also  tickled its keys.\u003cbr/\u003eAnother item drawing attention is a 110 pound statue of Mickey Mouse, created to commemorate Walt Disney's 100th birthday. It is made of pure (999.9 fine) gold.
