Many countries have laws\u003cbr/\u003ewhich limit how far the disabled can progress in aviation.  For\u003cbr/\u003eexample, in Britain a disabled person may become a Private\u003cbr/\u003ePilot, but may not become a Commercial Pilot, and so cannot earn\u003cbr/\u003ea living in aviation. In the United States, however, the\u003cbr/\u003esituation is different: it is official policy that a disabled\u003cbr/\u003epilot in a suitably adapted aircraft is to be judged on skill\u003cbr/\u003ealone, not on disability. So in the USA the disabled are allowed\u003cbr/\u003eto carry passengers; some even have their own airlines.
