The Academy-award-winning actress and singer sold off the contents of her Holmby Hills home in California. Rare tables, chairs and lamps were among the prized possessions sold off at a Christies auction house in New York yesterday.\u003cbr/\u003eA 1902 Stickley sideboard, originally made for the furniture maker's home in Syracuse and purchased by Streisand in 1988 for dlrs 362,000, sold for dlrs 596,500 to an anonymous telephone bidder. The winning bid reset the record for a piece of Arts and Crafts furniture.\u003cbr/\u003eNext to the Stickey sideboard, two Frank Lloyd Wright tables brought the highest prices. A three-tier flower table Wright designed in collaboration with George Man Niedecken around 1908 sold for dlrs 244,500, while an oak library table Wright designed around 1900 sold for dlrs 222,500.\u003cbr/\u003eMonday's sale brought in dlrs 3 million. The prices include the auction house's commission of 15 percent up to dlrs 50,000 and 10 percent of the rest.\u003cbr/\u003eStreisand is renowned for her personal collection of exquisite home furnishings and has used her fame and fortune to amass a dazzling array of  world class 20th century decorative art.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Ms. Streisand's enormous fame will no doubt contribute to the excitement  with which collectors all over the world will greet this sale. But more   importantly, serious collectors will relish the unexpected opportunity to   acquire great examples from her collection,\" says Nancy McClelland, international head of Christie's 20th Century Decorative Arts Department. Ms.\u003cbr/\u003eStreisand's decision to sell this collection was predicated on the\u003cbr/\u003esale of her   Beverly Hills home of 30 years standing.
