Various of artist Maria Almena, Simulacrum, performing A Contemporary Ritual on stage \u003cbr/\u003eThe Kinetic Art Fair in London is all about pushing boundaries.\u003cbr/\u003eExhibits range from miniature holograms to vast sculptures - the only thing they have in common is that they all move.\u003cbr/\u003eYou don't always need a sense of humour, or the ridiculous when you appreciate kinetic art, but it certainly helps.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Russian artist behind this work got the idea for the dog from watching pets do extraordinary things on the web.\u003cbr/\u003eAt the Kinetic Art Fair it's fun just to marvel at the ideas on show.\u003cbr/\u003eSkipping along to this record is a little man who is supposed to remind us of the weariness of our lives.\u003cbr/\u003eHis friend on the other side is fully clothed, but appears to be a bit drunk.\u003cbr/\u003eIt's fun to look at, but this sort of art is also beginning to attract the interest of serious collectors from all sorts of backgrounds.\u003cbr/\u003eIt's hard to imagine getting much relaxation watching these men run around like a hamster on a wheel in his cage, but you can really lose yourself inside this pyramid.\u003cbr/\u003eIf you're feeling a little under appreciated you might want to invest in this clapping machine.\u003cbr/\u003eYou'll never be without your own applause.\u003cbr/\u003eThis fair is set to travel across the world and managing director Tony Langford says kinetica is a growing movement.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Kinetic art it's kind of about life and a common theme to a lot of the work you see here is a movement that reflects the movement that's all around us in life and in the universe. Ivan Black this spinning piece that you filmed earlier, he has a lot of private collectors.\"\u003cbr/\u003eIvan Black is already very collectable and he counts famous sportsmen among his clientele.\u003cbr/\u003eSome of the artwork harks back in time, but it still has a strangely modern twist.\u003cbr/\u003eThese mechanical flipbooks are made by a group who came together over through an organisation called \"Crash Space\" in Los Angeles.\u003cbr/\u003eArtist Wendy Marvel says: \"It's where a group of people get together, the programmers, or scientists, engineers and we all like rip things apart and put things together and it's just a great fun community.\"\u003cbr/\u003eMechanical Flipbooks is now an online company which is making cash and adapting to the demands of a home audience.\u003cbr/\u003eMarvel says: \"We started developing these little Flip booklets and people can buy the kit put it together themselves and upload their own video and see their own animation in the box.\"\u003cbr/\u003eRecognise this? Anyone using an Apple Mac will probably know that this isn't good news in computer speak. \u003cbr/\u003eBut the artist here is using it ironically to comment on the demise of electronic communication.\u003cbr/\u003eThis might look like a mobile, but twist to the side and a clown greets you. Face to face you can stare at this for hours piecing it together.\u003cbr/\u003eExhibits like this would not be out of place at any surrealist art fair.\u003cbr/\u003eAnd this in case you're wondering is a crow.\u003cbr/\u003eIt's made by Polish industrial designer Piotr Jedrzejewski, who's more used to making washing machines.\u003cbr/\u003eHe has been drawn to kinetic art for decades.\u003cbr/\u003eThe crow was made to represent the role of martial law in Poland's history.\u003cbr/\u003eJedrzejewski says: \"We call the martial law and this government the Polish name wrona, in English it's the crow so it was the crow flying over this exhibition consisting (representing) the martial law.\"\u003cbr/\u003eAnd while most art pieces in the gallery move by themselves, some
