cattle ranch to save abandoned and orphaned wild animals.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Harnas\" is one of only a few Wildlife Orphanages in the world, and has more than 200 wild animals including Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs and Wild dogs.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Van der Merwe family of Gobabis in Namibia have dedicated their entire lives to looking after abandoned and orphaned animals.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Harnas Guest Farm, once a regular cattle farm, is now a charitable orphanage were the Van der Merwe family  have become dedicated to saving Namibia's endangered wild animals.   \u003cbr/\u003eWhen their father passed away five years ago, the rest of the family made a promise to carry on with the work he started.\u003cbr/\u003eThe family have opened their house, too, to various four-legged family members including baboons and vervet monkeys, who regularly watch TV with the Van der Merwe's.\u003cbr/\u003eOn any given day, Cheetahs, Lions and Baboons can be seen freely making their way around the farm.\u003cbr/\u003eThose that are too dangerous to roam are kept in fenced off areas for safety. \u003cbr/\u003eFrom the time that people became aware of the dedication of the Van der Merwe family, not a single week has passed without an injured or orphaned animal finding its way to them.\u003cbr/\u003eIn the past, farmers or trigger-happy game hunters often killed big cats that threatened livestock.\u003cbr/\u003eToday these animals are transferred to the Harnas Guest farm in order to protect them from being shot by poachers.\u003cbr/\u003eDue to an increase in illegal poaching in Namibia, the Baboons have become the farm's main inhabitants. \u003cbr/\u003eOften unwanted animals and family pets who can no longer be cared for end up at Harnas.\u003cbr/\u003eThis has resulted in about 25 different species living at the farm.\u003cbr/\u003eNo animal is turned away from the sanctuary.\u003cbr/\u003eMarlice van Vuuren says she loves any animals but particularly loves the baboons personalitys'.\u003cbr/\u003eAnimal lovers from all over the world make the journey to the Harnas Wildlife Foundation in Gobabis to witness this unique operation in action\u003cbr/\u003eVisitors are able to view all the animals at close range in safety.  \u003cbr/\u003eMireille Esteve, a French visitor, says Harnas is the best place in the world to see cheetahs, lions ,leopards and to see endangered animals like the wild dog.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Harnas foundation aims to teach visitors the importance of animal conservation in Namibia, and on a global scale.\u003cbr/\u003eAmerican actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt visited the farm last year on their Trip to Namibia.\u003cbr/\u003eThe internationally renowned couple were so impressed by the Van der Merwe family orphanage that  they
