Yes, 140 inches (355.6 centimetres) fell but that snow tends to get compacted by its weight itself so it's down to a 58 inch snow pack right now. There's likely on the order of 3 to 3 1/2 inches (8.5 centimetres) of water in that snow pack. The New York state Department of Environmental Conservation has given some highway departments the go-ahead to dump the snow in open water if necessary.
