Various of Greenpeace members fixing a banner to the statue\u003cbr/\u003eAn authoritative international panel released a much-awaited report in Paris on Friday saying that global warming is \"unequivocal\", its cause is man-made and it will continue for centuries. \u003cbr/\u003eThe Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) unveiled the 21-page report after a week of closed-door negotiations in the French capital amongst hundreds of scientists and bureaucrats who had to agree on each word of the document intended for the world's policymakers.\u003cbr/\u003eThe head of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Rajendra Pachauri, called it a very impressive document that went several steps\u003cbr/\u003ebeyond previous research. \u003cbr/\u003eThe report said man-made emissions of greenhouse gases can already be blamed for current problems, including fewer cold days, hotter nights, killer heat waves, floods and heavy rains, devastating droughts, and an increase in hurricane and tropical storm strength. \u003cbr/\u003eThe harmful effects during the 21st century \"would very likely be larger\",  the report said.\u003cbr/\u003e\" It is an unequivocal set of pieces of evidence that have been put before the world about how fossil fuel use, agriculture land use change are fundamentally affecting the systems on our planet\", United Nations Environment Programme executive director Achim Steiner said.\u003cbr/\u003eAnother report by the panel later this year will address the most effective measures for slowing global warming.\u003cbr/\u003eIf it looks bad now, the harmful effects during the 21st century \"would very likely be larger than those observed during the 20th century\", the report said.\u003cbr/\u003e\"The expectation would be if we keep emitting greenhouse gases at current rates we'll see bigger changes in this current century that we did in the last century,\" said Susan Solomon, Co-chair of International Panel of Climate Change working group.\u003cbr/\u003e\"I think humanity has the wisdom  to evaluate all the evidence and then take decisions that would reduce the risks and dangers that might exist in the future\", said IPCC chairman Rajendra K Pachauri. \u003cbr/\u003eThe report said no matter how much civilisation slows or reduces its greenhouse gas emissions, global warming and sea level rise will continue for centuries.\u003cbr/\u003eWhen asked if he was worried, Rajendra K Pachauri summarised three key points in the report: the influence of humans on climate change that was much more certain and the fact that 15 years had gone by since the framework convention on climate change was established, and finally the 20 percent increase in CO2 emission in 2005.\u003cbr/\u003e\"So, you make the decision,\" he told the assembled media.\u003cbr/\u003eThe head of the US delegation, White House associate science adviser Sharon Hays, called the panel's summary \"a significant report.
