Another British couple celebrating their diamond wedding say it's all down to kissing and making up after an argument.\u003cbr/\u003eThe wedding of the then Princess Elizabeth to the dashing naval officer caught the imagination of post-war Britain. \u003cbr/\u003eNow those memories are recalled in \" A Royal Wedding\"  - a special exhibition to mark the upcoming Diamond Wedding Anniversary of Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. \u003cbr/\u003eFor the first time since the wedding day on 20 November 1947, the exhibition brings together the outfits of the main wedding party, including the magnificent wedding dress worn by Princess Elizabeth. \u003cbr/\u003eCaroline Deguitaut, curator of exhibition says the diamond wedding anniversary presented a great opportunity to put together the collection. \u003cbr/\u003eDesigned by Norman Hartnell, the ivory silk-satin dress is encrusted with crystals and 10,000 seed pearls and has a 13ft foot  train.\u003cbr/\u003eAnd almost sixty years after it was worn, Caroline Deguitaut says the dress has survived very well. \u003cbr/\u003eThe Royal couple received around 2,500 wedding presents, some of which are on display at the Palace. \u003cbr/\u003eThe Summer Opening of the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace is from 28 July to 28 September 2007.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Sun newspaper's Royal Photographer Arthur Edwards has been photographing the Queen for thirty years. \u003cbr/\u003eHe says the secret to their successful marriage is that Prince Philip is dominant in the relationship behind the scenes, but in public he steps back and lets his wife fulfil her role as head of state. \u003cbr/\u003eEdwards says they are the perfect formula, he is feisty and she patient with a good sense of humour. \u003cbr/\u003eAccording to figures from the UK national statistics in 1947, there were 6,0254 divorces in England and Wales and in 2005 that number had increased to 141,750 in England and Wales. \u003cbr/\u003eSeveral of the Queen's own children have endured the pain of divorce. \u003cbr/\u003ePassers by outside Buckingham Palace agree that the Queen belongs to a generation for whom marriage was for life. \u003cbr/\u003eOn the other side of London another couple are celebrating their recent diamond wedding anniversary. \u003cbr/\u003eJane and Roy Moorehouse's story mirrors that of the royal couple. \u003cbr/\u003eLike Prince Philip, Roy was serving in the Royal Navy during the second world war when he met Jane by chance in Clapham Junction in south London. \u003cbr/\u003eJane was nervous of the sailor at first, but they got chatting and by the end of their first meeting their promised to stay in touch. \u003cbr/\u003eRoy was sent abroad to serve in the navy and they kept in touch by writing several letters a week. \u003cbr/\u003eThen a romantic opportunity of a double wedding provided them with the chance to get married.  \u003cbr/\u003eRoy was so nervous on the big day that he cut himself shaving. \u003cbr/\u003eNow aged eighty and eighty two respectively they recently celebrated their diamond (60th) wedding anniversary. \u003cbr/\u003eSixty years, five children, fourteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren later Roy says that the secret of a happy marriage is a strong family and to kiss and make up after an argument. \u003cbr/\u003eLike the Queen, Jane still treasures her wedding dress which brings back happy memories of their wedding day on June the 7th
