Guests arriving \u003cbr/\u003eItaly's top fashion designer Valentino Garvani, who retired last summer after a forty-five year career in fashion - dressing the world's most glamorous and beautiful women was feted Thursday ( August 28th ) at an off site gala premiere held at Venice's jewel-box La Fenice theatre before moving on to a late night party at the Peggy Guggenheim museum.\u003cbr/\u003eThe gala premiere was held after a film documentary called 'Valentino: The Last Emperor,' made by Vanity Fair special correspondent Matt Tyrnauer on the life of Valentino, his work and his long time partner and close friend Giancarlo Giammetti.
