Kennedy on 22 November  1963, was the act of one man, even though a presidential commission said lone gunman Lee Harvey Oswald committed the crime. \u003cbr/\u003eAt Dealey Plaza in Dallas, where a cross painted on the road marks the spot where Kennedy was shot, the conspiracy theorists hold court, sharing their beliefs with tourists who throng the area.\u003cbr/\u003eMark Oakes is convinced more than one gunman was involved, claiming that white smoke seen rising from the now infamous piece of land known as the Grassy Knoll was evidence of a second shooter. \u003cbr/\u003e\"The verdict is still out if you don't know all the evidence,\" he tells his audience. \u003cbr/\u003eRobert Groden, another sceptic agrees. \u003cbr/\u003e\"Certainly the shots came from more than one direction. There had to be a conspiracy,\" he claims. \u003cbr/\u003eTomorrow, on the 50th anniversary of JFK's assassination, visitors are expected by the bus load. Michael Scott, a guide for Big D Fun Tours says he tries to recreate for tourists what it was like in Dallas on that fateful day.  \u003cbr/\u003eSome of the wilder theories about those involved in Kennedy's assassination include communist plotters, Cuban agents, the Mafia and even the CIA. \u003cbr/\u003eBut Howard Willens, who sat on the Warren Commission, set up by the government to investigate the shooting, firmly dismisses all these theories.\u003cbr/\u003e\"This was the most extensive criminal investigation done in the history of the United States\", he says. The Commission concluded the assassination was the work of a lone gunman, and that shooter was indeed Lee Harvey Oswald.\u003cbr/\u003eBut Willens has his own theory to explain why the conspiracy beliefs refuse to die. \u003cbr/\u003e\"There's a heavy emotional content that people bring to the perspective of this event.
