Because every element I learn -- how to treat the fabric, how to play with ornamentation, how to respect the quality -- my Mom was the most amazing seamstress in my hometown. So, she will enjoy so much the quality and in some ways she told me yesterday she was totally confident because on the phone she said, 'you look so happy, so proud with what you did,' and I said, 'I am.\" \u003cbr/\u003e18. Catwalk show   \u003cbr/\u003eAngel Sanchez was practically born with a needle and thread in his hands -- his family owned a dressmaking business in his native Venezuela. And while he showed talent early on, Sanchez chose to study architecture -- until his family roots caught up with him. \u003cbr/\u003eHis Fall 2008 collection skilfully combines his knowledge and appreciation of both fashion and architecture. \u003cbr/\u003e\"For me proportion is the key element of a good design. Sanchez combines angular elements with applique flowers and makes heavy use of brocades and metallic silk fabrics.
