The cheeky pair wear versions of the famous pointed hats and orange suits of ''Can You Forgive Her?'', whilst re-enacting scenes from the video. Similarly, the ''Go West'' promo is plundered for other scenes in this new video. \u003cbr/\u003e''I''m With Stupid'' is released on the 8th May and comes from the Pet Shop Boys latest album, ''Fundamental'' (released on Monday 22nd May). The collection marks the band''s ninth studio album, their first studio album since 2002''s \"Release\".\u003cbr/\u003eThe album has been produced by the Pet Shop Boys and the legendary Trevor Horn and features ten new Pet Shop Boys compositions plus \"Numb\", a track written by Diane Warren and originally recorded for the 2003 compilation \"PopArt.\" Horn first worked with the band on the seminal ''Left To My Own Devices'' in 1988.\u003cbr/\u003e\"We started out wanting to write a minimal electro pop record, but then to songs really suggested a bigger production than that because they were quite epic sounding and so we thought Trevor Horn would be the best producer and you don''t go to him for minimal, and so that''s how, it went in a different direction than we immediately thought it would do but it was good because when you are going with it, it is quite exciting really.\"\u003cbr/\u003ePet Shop Boys formed in London in August 1981 when vocalist Neil Tennant  (a former editor at Marvel Comics and journalist for Smash Hits magazine) first met keyboardist Chris Lowe (a onetime architecture student) at an electronics shop; discovering a shared passion for dance music and synthesisers, they immediately decided to start a band. \u003cbr/\u003eThe duo''s career first took flight in 1983, when Tennant met producer Bobby \"O\" Orlando while on a writing assignment. Orlando produced their first single, 1984''s \"West End Girls\"; the song was a minor hit in the U.S. but went nowhere in Britain, and its follow-up, \"One More Chance,\" was also unsuccessful.  Upon signing to EMI, the Pet Shop Boys issued 1985''s \"Opportunities (Let''s Make Lots of Money)\" which also failed to ignite. However they then released an evocative new Stephen Hague  production of \"West End Girls,\" which became an international chart-topper. They followed with classic hits ''It''s a Sin'', \"Always on My Mind,\" and \"What Have I Done to Deserve This?,\" a duet between Tennant and the great Dusty Springfield. The band continued to score hit singles and albums through the 80s and 90s also branching out into theatre, collaborating with playwright Jonathan Harvey on a musical surrounding gay life and societal criticisms. Closer to Heaven made its West End debut in 2001 and had a successful run for most of the year. The Pet Shop Boys'' score of the original cast recording was also a hit in the U.K.  \u003cbr/\u003eThe Pet Shop Boys have just embarked on a European tour. Starting in Newcastle yesterday (May 1), the duo will play London on the 8th May.
