Simpson retired without a verdict late  Wednesday after six hours - more than twice the time spent by the jury that acquitted  Simpson of double murder 16 months ago.\u003cbr/\u003eBefore retiring the jurors requested a photo magnifying glass and a picture of a test tube  like the one used to store Simpson's blood.\u003cbr/\u003eSuperior Court Judge Hiroshi Fujisaki gave jurors the magnifying glass but withheld the  test tube picture, saying a similar vial was among  some 7-hundred pieces of evidence  already in the deliberation room.\u003cbr/\u003eThe jurors are set to resume their deliberations on Thursday morning.\u003cbr/\u003eEight hours of deliberation, and O.J. Simpson's fate still hangs in the hands of a jury.\u003cbr/\u003eAs America waits with abated breath for a conclusion to what has become the most  publicised legal case in U-S history, the only loser is set to be Simpson himself.\u003cbr/\u003eThe panel of jurors has already spent eight hours in total examining the evidence - twice  as long as the jurors in the 1995 criminal case against O.J. which acquitted the star of  double murder.\u003cbr/\u003eBut unlike the case in 1995, which required a unanimous decision - a majority vote  among the 12 jurors is all that's needed in the civil lawsuit.\u003cbr/\u003eAs jurors weighed the facts behind closed doors, the focus shifted to O.J. Simpson's  wealth.\u003cbr/\u003eFollowing his acquittal of murder in 1995, the famed football and movie star has taken  full advantage of the publicity surrounding the case, earning three million dollars alone  for his own video version of the trial.  \u003cbr/\u003eThe judge has ordered Simpson to turn over financial records\u003cbr/\u003eHis lawyers claim Simpson has been cleaned out by legal fees.  The criminal case  alone cost him 5 million dollars.\u003cbr/\u003eLegal fees for the civil case are lower, but if found guilty Simpson will still face massive  punitive charges. \u003cbr/\u003eAs the waiting continues, L.A. residents speculated as to the reasons of the delayed  verdict.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Q: Why do you think the jury is taking longer this time to reach a verdict?
