Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 noveI of the same name. \u003cbr/\u003eThe film takes audiences back to a time when the Hollywood movie industry was starting to take shape. \u003cbr/\u003eWarner Bros. Studios was the first company to make what were known then as \"talking pictures\" or \"talkies\" - pictures synchronised with sound.  \u003cbr/\u003eFounded by brothers Harry, Albert, Sam and Jack, it has since gone on to produce some of the most iconic films in history. \u003cbr/\u003eCostumes, props, scripts and other memorabilia from its past are on show at the Warner Bros. museum in Burbank, California.\u003cbr/\u003eIt is nestled in the middle of the studio complex and is the only Hollywood museum of its kind. \u003cbr/\u003e\"What we wanted to do was have the guests of the museum see aspects of film-making that they wouldn't see otherwise,\" says Leith Adams, Executive Director of Corporate Archive at Warner Bros. Studios.\u003cbr/\u003e\"This was a way to put everything together where you, whoever you are, can come into the museum, can kind of get an understanding of all the jobs that are in the business.\"\u003cbr/\u003eA leather-bound script from the 1927 film \"The Jazz Singer,\" regarded as of the best American productions of all time, is among the items on show. \u003cbr/\u003eIt was the first feature-length motion picture with synchronised dialogue.\u003cbr/\u003eThe film's release heralded the \"talkie\" and the decline of the silent film.\u003cbr/\u003eBy the end of 1929, all the major studios were exclusively making films with sound. \u003cbr/\u003eIn 1929, Warner Bros. released the first all-colour all-talking feature film, \"On with the Show\" and that success began the \"colour\" revolution.\u003cbr/\u003eVisitors to the museum can also see a variety of John Wayne memorabilia. \u003cbr/\u003eItems range from his army jacket in the 1959 film \"Bravo\" to his rifle used in \"Cahill US Marshal\" in 1973. \u003cbr/\u003eThere is also a letter to Jack Warner complimenting the acting abilities of Wayne. \u003cbr/\u003eMore recent memorabilia includes props from the 2012 Academy Award winning film \"Argo.\"\u003cbr/\u003e\"I follow movies and, yeah, watch a lot of TV. It's fun to see how things are made and where they are made and all the background information,\" says Sandy Gentry, a visitor from Rochester, Michigan. \u003cbr/\u003e\"Casablanca\" fans can look at music sheets from the film's theme song \"As Time Goes By.\"\u003cbr/\u003eA variety of costumes are also attracting interest at the museum.\u003cbr/\u003eThey include outfits from \"My Fair Lady\" and ones worn by Clint Eastwood in \"Gran Torino,\" \"Firefox,\" and \"Dirty Harry.\"\u003cbr/\u003eMemorabilia from studio staff is also on show.\u003cbr/\u003eA make-up case, identity and membership cards are among the items. \u003cbr/\u003e\"I think it's phenomenal that we get an opportunity to see things that you have watched and actually get to visually see what is going on,\" says visitor Laurie Purcell from Phoenix, Arizona.\u003cbr/\u003e\"The thing that surprises me is the size of these costumes, they are really, really small.
