Various of children's cooking utensils \u003cbr/\u003eChildren's cookery classes and coook books aimed at the young are proving popular in Los Angeles.\u003cbr/\u003eCookery schools are now offering special classes, plus walking tours of supermarkets, where children can learn all about healthy food and where it comes from.\u003cbr/\u003eA growing trend in the US city of Los Angeles is children's cookery classes. \u003cbr/\u003eAt Chef Eric's Culinary classroom 30 adult and children's cookery classes are held each month. Chef Eric Crowley now works seven days a week to meet the growing demand. \u003cbr/\u003eCookery classes for 7 to 15 year olds currently cost $300-350 each semester. \u003cbr/\u003eEric says the classes are popular because children are not learning skills such as cooking at school anymore.\u003cbr/\u003eEach class begins with a short lecture, then it's into the kitchen for cooking instruction and upon conclusion of each individual class, children get to eat the fruits of their labour. \u003cbr/\u003eMatt and Noa Feldman both seem to love the classes.\u003cbr/\u003eCrowley says he thinks another reason for the boom in popularity is because many parents in the USA are now divorced.\u003cbr/\u003eEvan Wainer says he likes the food so much he can never wait to try it, while his sister eight year old Sydney Wainer says she loves getting her hands dirty.\u003cbr/\u003eRosanne Karmes-Wainer put her children in cooking classes three years ago and says she thinks they are very beneficial for the children.\u003cbr/\u003eMother of two, Heidi Spector says she also loves the classes. \u003cbr/\u003eEven fathers agree, with Glen Feldman saying his children are learning to cook so someone can cook him breakfast.\u003cbr/\u003eAlso becoming increasingly popular are children's walking tours of supermarkets.\u003cbr/\u003eOn the tours the children learn where food comes from, basic nutritional information and how to select produce for cooking.\u003cbr/\u003eHannah Dains says the tour helps her to appreciate different kinds of foods.\u003cbr/\u003eWith all these children cooking there is also an increased demand for children's cookery books and cooking utensils.\u003cbr/\u003eKitchen shop Williams-Sonoma recently introduced a new line of cooking accessories for children.\u003cbr/\u003eDistrict manager Laura Upton says the shop had to meet children's cookery needs.\u003cbr/\u003eThey now offer a children's range of utensils including mini rolling pins,
