You're going to get a fever, so you're going to get hot and cold and shivers, your nose will not run like a cold, you will not cough up muck like a chest infection, but you will be coughing a lot. Asthmatics will cough more than usual and what you need to do is keep cool, not boil up warm. Although you're shivering what you need to do is lower your temperature, if you've got a temperature, which you probably will have and the way you do that is to take paracetamol, or ibuprofen on a regular basis, every four hours because the temperature keeps going up and down and so you need to take medication to keep your temperature under control as well as drinking plenty of fluid because when you've got a fever you sweat a lot and also not to wrap up too warm, if you're really burning up then a luke warm shower will help cool you down. The reason for this is you're very susceptible to getting dehydrated. If you're very hot the water is literally evaporating off your body and you need to keep those fluids up.
