If we were talking about President Lyndon Johnson and his misrepresenting of the truth with respect to the Vietnam war and the Gulf of Tonkin resolution, that's important.  If President Reagan lied in respect to Iran-Contra, that's important, it contravened our foreign policy.  But Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinsky? This has really gotten down to a terribly narrow issue, I believe, and one that I think has most Americans simply shaking their heads wondering why the country, the presidency, public servants in general are being put through all of this torture over the last several months.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Jack Quinn, former White House counsel\u003cbr/\u003eMeanwhile, the F-B-I was set to begin forensic testing on perhaps the key piece of physical evidence in Starr's investigation.\u003cbr/\u003eA dress, reportedly in this bag carried Wednesday by Lewinsky, was turned over to the F-B-I as evidence of her claims of a sexual encounter with Clinton.\u003cbr/\u003eLewinsky reportedly told prosecutors the dress was stained with semen belonging to the president.\u003cbr/\u003eThe woman in whom Lewinsky confided about the relationship, Linda Tripp, has seen the dress, according to her lawyer, Joe Murtha.\u003cbr/\u003eBut both Tripp's lawyer and spokesman denied new reports that Tripp tried to obtain - or even steal - the dress from Lewinsky.\u003cbr/\u003eHer spokesman, Phillip Coughter, denied the reports to the media on Sunday.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English)\u003cbr/\u003e\"No it's simply not true.  I asked the question directly and there is no validity to that story.
