were shocked by news of a barrage of Katyusha rockets fired from Lebanon by Hezbollah guerrillas.\u003cbr/\u003eThe missiles fell on Tiberias, on the lake's western shores, causing only slight injuries, but sending residents and tourists fleeing into bomb shelters.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Sea of Galilee is a very important site in the Christian faith - according to the Bible it was where Jesus Christ performed his walking on water miracle - and the various towns dotting its shores are popular destinations for Christian pilgrims.\u003cbr/\u003eThe news caused shockwaves in communities around the lake, and even though they were not directly targeted, people were feeling threatened.\u003cbr/\u003eHelmut, of the Tabgha Benedictine monastery in Tabgha, said \"it's becoming dangerous, more and more dangerous, to stay here in the north (of Israel).\"\u003cbr/\u003eSaturday's rocket attacks struck deeper into Israel than any previous attack launched from Lebanon - Tiberias lies about 35 kilometres (20 miles) from Israel's border with Lebanon.\u003cbr/\u003eThere were four rockets, which damaged two homes and wounded two people in this resort town of nearly 40,000 full-time residents.\u003cbr/\u003eOn Sunday the beaches were deserted, and hundreds of tourists had fled the city.\u003cbr/\u003eAt the nearby Scots Hotel, Jen Zielinski, Programme director for Church of Scotland in Tiberias, said that what brought people to the Sea of Galilee was the \"peace and solitude\" that were absent from other holy sites in Jerusalem and Bethlehem.\u003cbr/\u003eBut, she said, \"Sadly since yesterday the picture in Tiberius has changed, and we find ourselves caught up in something outside our control.\"\u003cbr/\u003eTiberias is famed for its antiquities and for being the site of several sermons by Jesus. \u003cbr/\u003eIt was the first attack on Tiberias since the 1973 Middle East war.\u003cbr/\u003eRockets have rained down on northern Israel since Wednesday. \u003cbr/\u003eThe attack on the Sea of Galilee came two days after Hezbollah rockets managed to hit the Mediterranean port of Haifa, and a day after Hezbollah hit an Israeli naval vessel off the
