tests on the SARS virus using an HIV treatment.\u003cbr/\u003eDr. David Ho, a renowned expert on HIV, was speaking in Hong Kong where he has been working with a team from the University of Hong Kong to battle SARS in a similar way that he fought against AIDS.\u003cbr/\u003eHe told reporters that the SARS virus seemed to attack human cells in a manner akin to HIV, which may offer clues for finding the best treatment against the newly discovered illness.\u003cbr/\u003eHo, who is scientific director of the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Centre in New York, said that tests on animals using a drug called Fuzeon, which contains synthetic peptides - amino acids that slow AIDS - could take place soon. \u003cbr/\u003eBut he stressed it was too early to use such medications to treat human SARS
