Wide of people leaving news conference\u003cbr/\u003eChina said on Monday it had boosted inspections of agriculture products nationwide in a bid to cut the use of forbidden pesticides and the overuse of feed additives and fertilisers.\u003cbr/\u003eTen people have been arrested and about 100 companies had been shut down since August, Vice Minister of Agriculture Gao Hongbin said.\u003cbr/\u003eGao said the ministry was closely watching large and medium sized cities in the hunt for illegal pesticides and feed additives.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Indeed, the central leadership and State Council have devoted a lot of energy and resources to the national campaign to improve product quality and food safety,\" Gao said at a news conference in Beijing.\u003cbr/\u003e\"It's precisely because of the existence of problems and we need to correct these problems. There will also be random inspections for pesticide residue in agriculture products.\u003cbr/\u003eGao said that since the inspection program was launched last month, 10 people have been arrested and
