\u003cbr/\u003ePolice said they found 1.5 pounds (680 grammes) of heroin in 68 capsules on her body when she was arrested at Vientiane airport on her way to Australia.\u003cbr/\u003eHeroin trafficking is punishable by death, but Orobator was spared because Lao law does not allow the execution of pregnant women.\u003cbr/\u003eOrobator was extradited to serve her time in Britain as part of an agreement reached by Laos and Britain in May, though it is unlikely she would serve a life sentence. \u003cbr/\u003eOfficials from both countries signed an agreement paving the way for the pregnant woman's transfer on Thursday, prior to her departure for Bangkok.\u003cbr/\u003eOfficials had said that Orabator had to be transferred quickly because of the advanced state of her pregnancy.\u003cbr/\u003eShe will be 36 weeks pregnant on August 12 after which she would likely be unable to take an international flight.\u003cbr/\u003eOrobator had been jailed since last August, but her plight drew public attention earlier this year after the British legal charity Reprieve publicised her circumstances and the possibility she could be executed by firing squad.\u003cbr/\u003eThe case attracted particular interest because Orobator became pregnant while incarcerated. \u003cbr/\u003eLao officials asserted that she may have artificially inseminated herself while behind bars.\u003cbr/\u003eQuayle told Sky News television that during her trial prosecutors read out a statement from Orobator in which she claimed to have artificially inseminated herself with semen from fellow British prisoner John Watson.\u003cbr/\u003eBritish authorities have asked that Watson be transferred back to Britain but the request is pending.\u003cbr/\u003e\"We \u003cbr/\u003eAccording to Lao officials, Nigerian-born Orobator initially told authorities she was pregnant by her boyfriend in England, but tests after she was arrested showed no signs of pregnancy. \u003cbr/\u003eIt was not until March 2 that a hospital test showed she was pregnant, verified by a second test April 4, police said. \u003cbr/\u003eThat meant she must have become pregnant while in prison, they said.\u003cbr/\u003eOrobator's mother recently said her daughter had not been raped by prison officials or fellow prisoners, as some media had
