Mid of Armstrong with his children and trophy\u003cbr/\u003eCyclists in Lance Armstrong's home of Austin, Texas reacted with mixed emotions on Friday to Armstrong's interview with Oprah Winfrey during which he admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs.\u003cbr/\u003eIn the first of a two-part interview aired on Thursday night, the disgraced former cycling champion acknowledged what he had lied about for years: that he was the ringleader of an elaborate doping scheme on a US Postal Service team that swept him to seven Tour de France wins.\u003cbr/\u003eAt an Austin bike shop, cycling enthusiast Cole Weldon said he wasn't impressed after watching the interview.\u003cbr/\u003e\"It seemed very disingenuous. His attitude and demeanour during the interview seemed to be more like a guy's pants caught down, almost like a small child being caught in the middle of the act and finally confessing up to it, even though everyone has already known what had happened,\" said Weldon.\u003cbr/\u003eAnother cyclist said he was happy that Armstrong's supporters finally learned the truth.\u003cbr/\u003e\"The people that were so adamant that 'oh, well Lance has never doped, you know, he's an American hero', like he could never do anything. 'He's never failed a drug test' and like, I'm honestly probably happier that it's putting those people to rest,\" said Chat Toms.\u003cbr/\u003eMost in the Austin bike shop agreed that the pressure on Armstrong and others in the cycling field to use banned substances in order to enhance their performance was part of the culture.\u003cbr/\u003e\"You know, and there's those 20 percent of the guys or less that aren't doing it that, you know, you never, you don't know their names.
