Medium of old memory disk\u003cbr/\u003eMicrosoft co-founder Paul Allen has opened the Living Computer Museum in Seattle. \u003cbr/\u003eThe museum is full of displays of old machines - all in working order - plus a wish list of machines he'd like to add, just in case people would like to donate their old tape drives or super computers. \u003cbr/\u003eA museum dedicated to the machine that has changed the way we live has opened in Seattle. \u003cbr/\u003eMicrosoft co-founder, Paul Allen, opened the Living Computer Museum. \u003cbr/\u003eThe old personal computers, and memory discs from the 1960s and 70s were once regarded as the machines of the future. The machines are now in working order, and available for visitors to play with. \u003cbr/\u003eBob Barnett from the museum explains, \"The purpose of the museum is to be able to keep the history of computers alive and provide education opportunities for elementary, high school and college kids to learn about this architectures and what these computers did, how they were used. That's why it's a Living Computer Museum. Our goal is to keep things running and let people interact with them so they can have the experience that people had 40 years ago.\"\u003cbr/\u003eVisitors who stop by the nondescript building in an industrial section of Seattle are likely to see technicians in white lab coats working on the machines. But the museum is not just for nerds and techies. \u003cbr/\u003eSince the museum's Oct. 25 opening, many visitors have been families, and their questions have not been the expected queries concerning technical specs of machines, but rather where did the curators find these artifacts and what were they used for.\u003cbr/\u003eAnd items here are not behind glass with \"Do Not Touch\" signs. \u003cbr/\u003eThis is a place where you're welcome to pull up a chair and re-live the days when you played Congo Bongo on a Commodore 64 instead of doing homework.\u003cbr/\u003eBarnett says tours run every hour and begin with a machine designed for nuclear experiments: \"You come in, we provide tours every hour.
