streetside masseurs, willing and able to combat the stress of consumerism. \u003cbr/\u003eBut not all American minds were on shopping.\u003cbr/\u003eIn Washington, supporters of the fringe animal rights movement PETA  the People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals - joined an international effort to make the day Fur-Free Friday.\u003cbr/\u003eBearing placards, angry demonstrators marched outside Miller's Fur, calling for a ban on animal fur.\u003cbr/\u003eWe want to bring to the public's attention the undescribable cruelty that (m) millions of animals endure every year just because of fashion and since this is the largest and biggest of the shopping year we picked this day.\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION:  Carolyn Kweller, P-E-T-A spokesperson.\u003cbr/\u003eProtest organisers said their purpose was to educate the public about the cruelties of the fur trade.\u003cbr/\u003eBut P-E-T-A aggravated managers at this Washington Fur shop -
