The people of Mississippi  deserve their money and Attorney General Moore did right by his state but it's not a  good thing in the sense that it was only money and it didn't include smoking cessation  and it didn't include protection for children and so forth and it goes to show that we need  a national programme and not just state by state settlements.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Bob Novelli, Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids\u003cbr/\u003eAmong other things, the national settlement would have prohibited advertisements  directed at children.\u003cbr/\u003eThe tobacco industry also agreed to admit that nicotine is addictive and thereby can be  regulated by the Food and Drug Administration.\u003cbr/\u003eUPSOUND OF ADVERT: \"I had my first cigarette when I was thirteen. When I found out  how bad it was, I tried to quit. But I couldn't. They say nicotine isn't addictive.
