Close up of samples\u003cbr/\u003eKat Wakula is 38-years-old and wishes she had a little something in the bank. \u003cbr/\u003eMarried for three years and running her own horticulture business, Wakula is ready for what she put off for so long: a baby. \u003cbr/\u003eBut after months of taking her temperature, timing her ovulations and putting sex on a schedule that leaves little room for romance and serendipity, she is still not pregnant.\u003cbr/\u003eRecent studies confirm Wakula's dilemma and that of millions of other working women in their 30s and 40s - they may look and feel young but their eggs are not. \u003cbr/\u003eA Los Angeles fertility clinic sees a marketing opportunity in women like Wakula. \u003cbr/\u003eStarting in December, the CHA Fertility Clinic near Beverly Hills will open an on-demand egg banking service, giving women a chance to freeze and store their youthful eggs for later use. \u003cbr/\u003eThe price: about 9-thousand US dollars.\u003cbr/\u003eUntil now existing slow-freezing methods often damaged the fragile makeup of women's eggs. \u003cbr/\u003eBut Thomas J. Kim, medical director, CHA fertility clinic said his Korean partners have pioneered a new flash-freezing method called vitrification, that makes egg banking viable.\u003cbr/\u003eEmbryos from flash-frozen eggs have been implanted in 28 women, Kim said. \u003cbr/\u003eOf that number, four have delivered babies and two more are well along in their pregnancies.\u003cbr/\u003eFreezing of fertilized embryos has been done for years, but also carries its own set of problems.\u003cbr/\u003eWakula wishes there had been a bank when she was 30, though she's not sure she would have had the forethought make a deposit.\u003cbr/\u003eThe number of childless women in the work force is growing and when working women over forty try to become pregnant, the odds are stacked against them. \u003cbr/\u003eEgg-freezing techniques have been used for over 17 years - mostly on women having chemotherapy or as a last resort during in-vitro fertilization treatments. \u003cbr/\u003eIn that time,
